Laser skin resurfacing is a powerful anti-aging treatment.  Dr. London uses the incredible fractional CO2 laser,  the "gold standard" for skin resurfacing.  The laser actually damages the skin but in a very controlled, precise manner.  On healing, the new skin cells that form give the skin a tighter, more even, younger looking surface.

Laser resurfacing can improve wrinkles, acne scars, age spots, facial blemishes, stretch marks, scars, sun damage and skin discoloration.

When to consider laser skin resurfacing

• If your facial skin is sun-damaged with wrinkling in the cheeks, around your eyes, mouth and other areas .    
•  If there are fine lines and skin laxity under your eyes.
• If you have sun-damage, wrinkling and color changes on your chest, arms, hands or neck
• If you have changes in your skin color, such as blotchiness or brown spots

Chemical peels at London Medical Spa are very popular.  This procedure involves applying a medical grade acid  to the skin that can penetrate  into the dermis resulting in a superficial or medium depth resurfacing of the skin.   Over the course of 1-2 weeks, your old skin surface will peel away revealing new skin that is  healthy, vibrant, and glowing. 

A chemical peel is used to treat fine lines, skin texture abnormalities, skin discoloration, and acne.  The results typically last 3-4 months.

Skin needling, also called micro-needling therapy or collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive, short down time skin rejuvenation procedure. This process improves skin texture, color, and firmness, as well as reduces the appearance of scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

Procedure – After numbing the skin with anesthetic cream, a mechanical needle pen with tiny needles is used to puncture the skin many thousands of times creating a controlled skin injury.

Result – Each tiny puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds with new collagen and elastin. Through this process of neovascularization and neocollagenesis there is improvement in skin texture and firmness as well as improvment in the appearance of scars, fine lines, pigment, pore size, and stretch marks.  

Other uses – It is also used to prepare the skin before Platelet Rich Plasma growth factor treatments.

A Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facial is a treatment that utilizes your own blood growth factors to rejuvenate the skin of the face. Blood is drawn from your arm, spun in a centrifuge, then injected and/or applied to micro-needled skin. Growth factors, in a sense, play the role of messengers signaling the skin cells to function.

Benefits of PRP treatments include improvements skin texture, tone, and pigment and may improve the appearance of fine lines. 

Spider veins (also called telangiectasias) are clusters of tiny blood vessels that develop close to the surface of the skin. They are often red, blue, or purple and  have the appearance of a spiderweb. They are most commonly found on the legs and ankles.  Often they are hereditary, affecting women more than men. 

Most times spider veins are just a cosmetic problem and are easily treated with painless sclerotherapy injections.  At London Medical Spa, the treatments take about 30 minutes and are performed by Dr. London in the spa treatment room.  You are sent home with compression stockings to wear for 2 weeks,
